Legion of Honor
A visit to San Francisco's Legion of Honor art museum felt appropriate on Memorial Day weekend. I used my Treo 650 smartphone to take some snapshots of artwork that caught my eye, and then I created this slideshow using Slideroll. Enjoy.

Junior Brown @ the Independent

Guitarists, retro hipsters, Texas swing fans, steel guitar rebels, and old-school country nostalgists stood in awe facing the stage at the Independent, their faces beaming with shit-eating grins. Junior Brown was in the house, tearing up his custom guit-steel with a ten-gallon blend of barnyard chicken picking, lap steel greased lightning, and raucous rock n' roll. If Jimi Hendrix had ever shared a stage with Jimmy Bryant and Buddy Emmons, this is what the gig would have sounded like.

Top of the World
Another beautiful sunny day in the Marin Headlands. The view seen here is from my favorite cliff overlooking Tennessee Valley Beach. The climb up takes about 20 minutes. It's a great hike if you're feeling sure-footed.
p.s. I shot some photos at this same spot last May.
